Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on January 31, 1974. She's most famous for her role as Bo of the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter who was a scholar, and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed performer, actress, and playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories were of going to play rehearsals and watching her mother work. Silk was the subject of several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced at the very least two early productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in the fall of 1999 in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman was her future wife when she saw him in 2007 during an Actors' Workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged during 2009 and then married at a civil wedding ceremony in December that same year. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton in the aftermath of Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk welcomed a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second son born on 13 May 2016. Silk is known for her role on television as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she was awarded a nomination by the Gemini Awards. Silk was cast as Bo Dennis, a succubus on the Canadian Television show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was expecting while filming the finale of the third season. Silk announced her pregnancy to the fans in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she is ready to resume her work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of production for the fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex couples in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and voted the most popular Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. As a result of the show's popularity, Silk has earned a significant audience on social networks.
